Three ways to throw a holiday party

1. Drop-off catering for the office

Boxed lunches, buffets and grazing spreads for 15 to 300 guests, delivered hot, labeled for dietary needs and set up in minutes. Best for a team lunch or an afternoon celebration when you want restaurant food without staffing an event.

2. Full-service catering at your home, office or venue

Chefs, servers, bartenders and rentals, handled by one team. Best for evening parties, client appreciation events and family gatherings where you want to host instead of work.

3. A party at Prose Kitchen & Bar

Reserve part of our Woodland Hills dining room or book a full buyout. The room seats up to 25 guests, or holds 100 standing for a full buyout. Holiday menus start at $75 per guest family-style and $95 per guest plated. Best when you want the setting, the bar and the cleanup handled for you.

When to book a holiday party

Now through early November: the best selection of December dates, especially Friday and Saturday nights.
In December: weeknight and lunch dates are still realistic. Prime weekend evenings usually are not.
Drop-off orders: need at least 24 hours' notice. We do not take same-day catering orders.

What to serve

Our menus change with the season, but these are the kinds of dishes that come out of the Prose kitchen for holiday events:

Passed bites: white truffle arancini, crab cakes, hamachi ceviche, Scottish quail eggs with caviar and chorizo.

Family-style or plated. Family-style starts at $75 per guest at Prose and feels generous and social. Plated starts at $95 and suits a formal program.
Ask what is included. For off-site events, confirm staffing, rentals and bar service in the quote so there are no surprises.
Consider lunch or a weeknight. More availability, and often an easier yes from your team.
